Our Story

Built on land that echoes the footsteps of Ike Clanton, Billy the Kid, and Apache scouts, Casa de Rues honors the legacy of Vernal Rue Hale, a rancher, judge, and hometown hero who laid the foundation for this rugged homestead. Preserved by his grandson, the ranch is both a tribute and a time capsule of Arizona’s wildest days.

What You’ll Find at Casa de Rues:

• The Granary:

A fully preserved 1800s structure where animal hides were tanned and cowboys stored their beans and grain. Now used for live reenactments and authentic photo sessions with Old West props.

• Old West Photo Sessions:

Put on period outfits, saddle up next to Roan and Admiral, our real-life ranch horses, and strike a pose beside our Chuck Wagon, granary, or jail setup for a one-of-a-kind family memory.

• Cowboy & Apache Legends Tour:

Learn about the lawmen, outlaws, settlers, and Native Americans who once crossed paths on this land—from the Clanton gang to Apache scouts. Hear untold stories passed down through generations.

• Seasonal Chuck Wagon Cookouts:

Come hungry for a taste of the frontier! Beans, cornbread, and cowboy coffee served right from our vintage chuck wagon.
